All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, right?...
I'm sure many of us have heard that saying many times throughout our lives, especially during PMR and SPM. (ah..those were the days..)
And I'm quite sure that most of us find this saying to be more than true, especially for those of us who managed to get this far into the education system. Truly, it is a blessing from Allah Taala to be able to study at the university level.
Hence, with that spirit (all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy thing..) IIUM will be hosting a few events under Sports Division.
The events include:
1. Futsal and Netball Tournament (8th - 10th October)
2. 3rd IIUM Invitational Taekwondo Championship (8th - 10th October)
3. Martial Arts Performance by Capoeira Ache Brasil Malaysia (9th October)
If I am not mistaken, Capoeira Ache Brasil is a martial art originating from Brasil (duh..haha) which is sort of dancing (?) but is good for self defense. Or was it the type that uses only the legs..(hmm)
Anyway, that's why you have to come and see for yourself what it is all about! (Don't believe everything you read today...especially in blogs..haha - IKOD10 is an exception though)

3rd IIUM Invitational Taekwondo Championship
- Date: 8th - 10th October 2010
- Venue: Examination Hall, Kulliyyah of Medicine
- Categories: < 9 years old, 9-12 years old, 13-15 years old, 16-19 years old
- Prizes: Medals for Champion, 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up of each category
- open to Kuantan Taekwondo Club members
Futsal and Netball Tournaments
- Date: 8th - 10th October 2010
- Venue: Courts in front of Kulliyyah of Medicine
- Prizes: Medals and cash money
- open to all students and staffs of IIUM and also outsiders
* Futsall for male participants
* Netball for female participants
